Sursiddhi - The Story

Founded in October 2021 by the passionate musician Ahana, Sursiddhi is more than just a music school—it's a journey of love, connection, and exploration through the timeless art of Indian classical music. At Sursiddhi, our mission is simple yet profound: to inspire every soul, the young and the elderly, to fall in love with classical music and to cultivate a deep connection with their emotions through the power of music. We believe that music has the transformative ability to touch hearts, soothe souls, and awaken the innermost emotions within us. Ahana Bose, began her initial childhood days of learning music, under the guidance of Pradip Chatterjee, at the age of 4 years. In 1998, she achieved her first steps to Shrutinandan, founded by Pandit Ajoy Chakraborty. There she received her training, under the guidance of Guruji and his disciple Mrs Alpana Roy. She progressed further and at the age of 12 years, was fortunate enough to receive guidance, under Guru Ustaad Jainul Abedin, a scholar ITC Sangeet Research Academy. She is still pursuing, her search for knowledge in music, under the guidance of Ustaadji. Ahana, the founder of Sursiddhi, has been musically inclined since childhood. Despite facing numerous challenges along the way, she emerged victorious, and she attributes much of her strength and resilience to the music that has been her constant companion through life's ups and downs. Driven by her passion for music and her desire to share its beauty with others, Ahana founded Sursiddhi with the vision of creating a nurturing environment where young minds can blossom and flourish. Here at Sursiddhi, we strive to create a safe and supportive space where students can explore their creativity, express themselves freely, and develop a lifelong love for music. They are constantly asked to innovate and improvise on what they are learning here. A lot of effort goes into concept building so that the students genuinely love the art and feel the urge to create something on their own, rather than following just the instructions. Through our comprehensive curriculum and personalized approach to teaching, we aim to demystify classical music and make it accessible to all. Whether you're a beginner taking your first steps in the world of music or an experienced musician looking to hone your skills, Sursiddhi welcomes you with open arms.
